  • YELLOW LAB; About 40lbs
  • ADULT MALE; EST DOB: September 2013
  • ARRIVAL: January 14, 2017
  • HISTORY: Chip arrived as a stray at a high kill shelter. When his time was “up,” we spoke up for him.  He was quickly adopted out but with a family member being deployed and his showing signs of anxiety when left alone,  he found himself back at the Sanctuary.

The Big Chill! Folks love how cool and mild mannered I am! Ready to go with the flow….and wherever it might take me…I’m a wonderful choice when you are looking for an easy paced walking companion and four legged friend to simply relax right by your side. A petite framed lab mix, I love attention but am not demanding in my needs from you. Happy to mix and mingle with great ease with other dogs and a skilled meeter of humans of all ages, folks call me softly affectionate and appreciate my laissez-faire approach to life. Although I’m a younger dog, you will likely sense I have this “old soul” feel about me. I’ve come along way from originally arriving as a stray at a county kill shelter and sense that soon, it will be my time to shine as a family pet.

Note: Chip is best suited in a home with other compatible dogs as he LOVES their company. He can get nervous when left alone for extended periods of time so folks working from home and/or a couple with slightly alternating work schedules would make him smile and wag his tail a lot!  He is an excellent choice for a family who has kids.
