Hello!  My name is Dusty  and I was one of the “famous” landfill puppies (you might have read about me in the paper), rescued from under a dumpster at the landfill in the summer of 2007.   Now that I am over 9 yrs old,  I am anxious to find my new forever home.  I have some huge fans at the shelter who always pick me first to head out for walks and this makes me feel really good.   In fact, you should see my face light up (and it really does!) when I know it’s my turn to spend time with you and explore the CFC grounds.   Over the last few years I have seen roommates come and go but sadly my forever home has not found me.  I can be a bit nervous when I meet new folks but being the curious guy that I am, you better believe me that I will come on over and give you a once over.   With my strikingly handsome physique, I am a little more “selective” in giving out my love and kisses as frankly probably everyone wants them!   LOL.   When I do “accept” you into my inner circle, you can bet it’s fabulous!

More about me:  I have held a very coveted position here at the Sanctuary for the last year or so. You see, I am Mary’s (CFC’s founder/president) right hand man! I help her answer the phone, I “organize” papers on her desk, help her type and compose important documents and keep her company. While Mary would surely miss my presence with my adoption, it would sure make her day and mine!

March 2013 Update:  Wait til Mary finds out I am what Wagging Wednesday is all about! She’ll be concerned that as her office assistant…extraordinaire…that maybe, just maybe I’ll let it all go to my head and get slack on the job.

Little does she know, it will simply get me fired up! For those of you who may not know me, I have been working hard in Mary’s office for the last couple years now. I am her main greeter although I can be a bit shy around newcomers. I’m a sleek jacketed, super handsome fellow who can be fun and playful. I am also a thief…of sorts…looking for unsuspecting and definitely unauthorized things to play with such as staplers, eye glasses, gloves, etc. Now, I also like authorized toys such as knotted ropes and Kongs and treats will make me break into a huge smile and a hip swiveling hula dance. For those who know me, they will tell you I’m super sweet, very attentive and a huge fans of walks in the woods.

I’m a middle aged guy having arrived as a puppy. I bring a lot of pet skills to the table and still hold out hope that my full time person is out their anxiously waiting to find me. Might it be you???
